Although making her debut on the Tower stage Hannah Cartwright
is no stranger to the world of theatre. Having previously participated in professional productions at the Salisbury Playhouse (the body double to Cinderella in the
Christmas pantomime was no mean feat) she went on to study Drama and Philosophy at Royal Holloway, where she partook in various productions across a number of societies.
Prominent past roles include Lynette in Can't Stand Up for Falling Down (RHUL Drama Society), Katisha The Mikado (Savoy Opera Society) and Beatrice in
Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare society). She couldn't be more excited to be a part of the Top Girls cast and to be a part of the Tower.
Heather Dalton has been an amateur actor for over
twenty years but this is her first role for the Tower Theatre. With the Wanstead Players her roles have included Ruth in Blithe Spirit, Helena in A Midsummer
Night's Dream, Joan in Time and Time Again, Sheila Birling in An Inspector Calls, Mrs Gibbs in Our Town, Edna Selby in Harlequinade, the Princess Royal in Crown
Matrimonial and Major Barbara in Major Barbara.
Heather has also played various roles in Measure for Measure, That Scoundrel Scapin, Oepidus Rex, Oh! What a Lovely War and The Hollow Crown.
Jessica Irwin performed with the Ann Kavanagh Young People's Theatre where she studied speech and drama theory and completed her exams for the
Irish Royal Academy. She then became Chairperson of the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology Drama Society where she studied Business Studies
and Arts Management. She also worked with the marketing department of theatre company, La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, California and has completed a
foundation course in drama therapy at Roehamption University, South London.
After moving to London, she joined Woodhouse Players and performed in two pantomimes as chorus. She played Genevieve in The Long Christmas Dinner
which won first place at the Waltham Forest Festival of Theatre and several parts in Fear and Misery of the Third Reich and
Adventures of Kiki Hotpants : Angels, Superheroes, Mariachis .
This is Jessica's first production with the Tower Theatre.
Top Girls is Gabriella Dugdale's first production with the Tower Theatre Company. Her debut in the
West End was as Ida Rumour in The Lazy Ace (Shaftesbury Theatre). She recently performed Vera Vera Vera at the
UK Triforce MonologueSlam (Theatre Royal, Stratford East) after a series of auditions to a panel of agents and casting directors and an enthusiastic
audience. She is volunteering during August at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East Summer College which offers a range of
masterclasses with professional actors and directors.
Gabriella is the UK ambassador for Premiere, the global performance arts programme; she was invited to attend the
Premiere programme in Florida. She is currently studying film and TV, musical theatre and comedy and drama at the Pauline
Quirke Academy and is a final year student at Invicta Grammar School studying drama, psychology and mathematics.
This is Landé Belo's fourth production with the Tower. She played Francine/Lena in Clybourne Park, multiple roles in Doctor
Faustus and most recently, Prudence in The House of Bernarda Alba. She is also currently starring in The Thriller Of The Year with Incognito Theatre which
runs from 16 - 22 July.
This is Francesca Wing's third production with the Tower, following December 2016's Sherlock Holmes and The House of Bernarda Alba.
Previous credits include playing Lysistrata in the original ancient Greek, an experience which still occasionally causes her to wake up in a cold sweat. Francesca graduated from King's
College London with a BA in Classical Studies and an MA in Shakespeare Studies, both of which have proved extremely useful in her current career with the quarrying industry.
Leyla Doany's was recently seen in the Tower's The House of Bernarda Alba. Other acting highlights include playing a 70-year-old woman in a 4-star sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe, performing in over
20 productions during her 4-year MA English Literature degree at the University of Edinburgh, and playing four characters of varying ages and genders for KDC's
The Good Person of Szechwan in November 2016. When she's not acting, she can be found working as a media analyst specializing in breaking news.
For the Tower, Marta Dunphy-Moriel was assistant director for Frozen and The
House of Bernarda Alba. Previously she directed Muerta mientras dormia (Dead in her sleep) and several short films and shows for M's Productions Presenta (Spain).
Marta has also worked with the UAM theatre company (Madrid) and Grupo de teatro Ilusion (Andalusia) back in her acting days. As a writer, Marta has created the new English
translation and adaptation of The House of Bernarda Alba.
