Amanda Waggott has been a member of the Tower Theatre for around four years and has played Lady Codlington in Gainsborough Girls and Lil in Kindertransport. In 2018/19 she played several characters in Shirleymander at the Playground Theatre and Mum in Rapid Write Response at Theatre 503. She also produced Paradise Circus, Harvey and 'Ere. Recently Amanda organised The Who? Why? What? Theatre Science Bus for the Playground Theatre, sponsored by Imperial University, and this autumn she is producing The Jazz Age, The Army of Lovers and The Great Bear, all for the Playground Theatre. Amanda also teaches presentations skills. She has an MA in Theatre from Goldsmiths and trained at Drama Studio London post Birmingham University and attended the National Youth Theatre many years ago.

Julia Flatley trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York. She has a degree in English Literature and has just started the one-year Artists Development course at the Independent Centre for Actor Training. This will be her third production with the Tower, having previously appeared as Rose Gwynn in Nell Gwynn in December 2017 and as Michelle/Mother Superior in Table in December 2018. Julia is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to play Maureen.
This is Nick Cannon's seventeenth year with the Tower. He first appeared as Jeff in A Taste of Honey. Through the years Nick has appeared in plays by Coward, Shaw, Neil Simon and Rattigan (to name but a few). Amongst his favourite performances are Michael in Dancing at Lughnasa, Mr Miller in The Deep Blue Sea and Albert in Table. Nick was last seen in the rehearsed reading of Way Upstream in August. He is thrilled to be back on stage with old and new friends.

Simon Brooke's background is in screenwriting and script editing, but he has had the occasional dalliance with the world of stand-up comedy. He was in a drama club as a teenager, and after a very long gap he joined the Tower in 2017, appearing in Nell Gwynn that year and in Blue/Orange last year.
The Beauty Queen of Leenane is Colette Dockery's eleventh show for the Tower. Past directing credits include Oleanna, Mojo, The Slab Boys, The Prisoner of Second Avenue, Two, The Woman who Cooked her Husband and, most recently, Blue/Orange. She started as an actor with the Tower, moving into directing 10 years ago.
