Trudi Dane is excited to be making her debut appearance with the Tower Theatre and taking on the role of Bridie. Previous acting roles with other theatre companies include Bobbie in The Audience, Pam in Just Between Ourselves, Cathy and Katherine in two different productions of Regina Monologues and Truvy in Steel Magnolias, the latter which included having to style hair and do a manicure. She has also done some voice over work for a short film, Six Sigma. Trudi is a part time Admissions Secretary in a North London Junior School. She is looking forward to getting back on the stage and working with a great cast - face to face at last!
Saria Babiker’s previous acting roles include Mother Peter in Once a Catholic, various characters in The Laramie Project and Wife in Blood Wedding (with Actors Company); Caroline Bingley in Pride and Prejudice, Shamima in Flint Street Nativity and Jess in Muswell Hill (with Garden Suburb Theatre); and most recently a member of the Ensemble in a new adaptation of Dracula (with Theatre in the Square). This is her first production with the Tower and she is very excited to be working with such a talented team.
Lucy Moss has been a member of Tower Theatre for two years and has appeared in a number of plays including The Seagull, Talk Radio and Dead Funny. She also was also a writer on Tower's adaptation of The Canterbury Tales and is currently writing 5 Women, a new devised work, in conjunction with Angharad Ormond. Lucy has lived in and loved North East London for most of her life and having the Tower Theatre on her doorstep has been a dream come true. Lucy can't wait to get back into the rehearsal room to start working on Mules, which has definitely not made her consider a new career move if lockdown ever ends.
Tyan Jones joined the Tower Theatre in 2020 and has participated in many podcasts and virtual plays since. This will be her second live performance with the company having appeared as Alice in Air as part of the Love [and Survival] Festival (July 2021). Outside of the Tower, she teaches sign language to babies and toddlers which she absolutely loves but is now desperate to launch her acting career. As she captures the attention of her little audience wonderfully the parents would agree she needs to be on stage. She is excited to finally be working on Mules with such a brilliant team and is grateful for the opportunity to play Lou.
Oyinka Yusuff is a graduate of St Mary’s University where she studied Drama & English BA joint Hons. Her theatre credits include Juniper Manor, Soultown Mansion, Love What Is The Answer (Catford Broadway), Hit Chicks (Talawa Theatre), The Dry Nation (Utopia) and ongoing script development readings (Young Vic), Dutty Wine (Arcola), We Are People Too (One Woman Play at Arcola) and Chance of Rain (Etcetera Theatre). Screen credits include Guerrilla Sky (Sky Atlantic, HBO), Humans (Channel 4), TV lead debut in TV Footballers (BENTV) and Don’t Enter (Essex Visual Arts). TV commercials include Greggs, Hitachi, Halifax, British Airways, BT & Cancer Research. Radio plays include Family First. Oyinka has strong influences from Essex where she is based and from Nigeria, her heritage.
This is Vanessa Tedi Wilson's first production with the Tower Theatre and she’s proud and excited to be taking on the character of Allie. Her acting experience includes roles in different fringe venues across London appearing in Witness, 909 and Romeo and Juliet. She has also been gaining screen experience through commercials and feature films as she continues to work on her craft. She is part of the National Youth Theatre and trained at Emil Dale Academy and Fourth Monkey acting training company.
Nancy P Touzé is thrilled to be cast as Olu and Bad Girl 2 in Mules and to work with Landé Belo again. This is her third production with the Tower Theatre, having appeared as Calpurnia in To Kill A Mockingbird in 2018 and in the Tower’s February 2020 production of Sweat she worked as Dialect and Accent Coach, also featuring as a newscaster voiceover. When she’s not performing, she is still trying to save the world. Nancy currently trains at Identity School of Acting and 1956 Studios. She is signed with Smile Casting.
Stephanie Irvine got involved in theatre when she was a student in Glasgow some years ago, performing in Hamlet and The Children's Hour, and at the Edinburgh Fringe. She then had a long break from acting when she worked as a radio journalist. She discovered the Tower Theatre in 2019 when her choir was asked to sing on its production of King Charles III. She then joined Arcola Participation, performing in As You Like It and Lysistrata.
Landé Belo has been involved with the Tower Theatre since 2016. Her acting credits include Francine/Lena in Clybourne Park; multiple characters in Doctor Faustus; Prudence in The House of Bernarda Alba; Pope Joan/Louise in Top Girls; Jellaby in Arcadia and Cynthia in Sweat. Her directing credits include Fix Up (2019) and I can’t breathe: being black in a time of Covid (part of the Love [and Survival] Festival) (July 2021). She also worked as Assistant Director on To Kill A Mocking Bird and Sweat and was previously a member of the Tower Theatre Artistic Team. During lockdown, she co-produced the Tower Theatre Podcast and directed and acted in various plays on Virtual Tower. She is an advocate of socially engaged and inclusive programming and is particularly passionate about promoting black, female voices in theatre.
