Şükrü Demir began his acting career around 15 years ago and has since appeared in over 20 theatrical productions. Notable roles include Hovstad in An Enemy of the People and Rick in Casablanca. In 2023, he performed in Migrant Shakespeare at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in 2019, he took part in An Enemy of the Public at the Izmir International Theatre Festival. This is Şükrü’s first play for the Tower Theatre.
Nadine Gharzeddine recently joined the Tower Theatre; Out of Sorts is her first project with the company.
Nassima Bouchenak is a London-based actor of mixed Algerian-English heritage. She previously appeared as Fanny Hawthorne in the Tower Theatre's production of Hindle Wakes in 2016.
This is Trina Bhattacharya’s debut Tower performance; she joined as a member in April 2024. She trained at the Identity School of Acting, is currently training with Andrew Darren Elkins and has trained in comedy improvisation at Hoopla Impro. She has performed all over the UK in English and Bengali theatre productions since the age of 10, including Bugsy Malone, The Crucible and the latest being in the new comedy ensemble play, Bricklestead Primary PTA. She has been splitting her time between acting on screen and stage, and will be seen playing the lead in a couple of short films being released later this year. She is thrilled to be part of this very moving story, Out of Sorts.
Lily Walters makes her debut at the Tower Theatre with Out of Sorts. She is a recent graduate of the Oxford School of Drama foundation course and an active member of the National Youth Theatre. Her credits include Annie in Small at the Oxford School of Drama.
This is Cedric Dumornay’s second play at the Tower; he was recently in Swipe, one of the Spring Forward selection of plays. Originally from New York, Cedric is an actor and writer with roots tracing back to his early fascination with theatre and film. Cedric's love for performing ignited while living in Haiti, inspired by the timeless antics of Mr. Bean. Trained at Florida Atlantic University in Meisner and Chekhov techniques, he can be seen on screens in the U.S and Europe, featuring in Global campaigns and TV hits like Tosh.0 and Starz's Blindspotting. His stage journey began playing Estragon in Waiting for Godot at FAU's main stage. After a TV hiatus, Cedric returns to his first love, the theatre, and is delighted to be a part of this wonderful cast.
Özlem Taş, a graduate of Ankara University's D.T.C.F Theatre – Acting Department in 2007, co-founded Theatre Deng û Bej where she served as both actress and assistant director. Later, she managed and served on the art committee at Beşiktaş – Fulya Art Centre. Her career spans performances at esteemed venues including Van State Theatre and Istanbul State Theatre, Galata Performance, Sermola Performance, and Moda Sahnesi. She has showcased her versatility in TV, commercials, and cinema, also excelling as a presenter, voice-over artist, drama tutor, and director. Notable recent roles include starring in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Arcola Theatre in 2019 and serving as assistant director for When you go to Ireland here at the Tower Theatre. In 2024, she founded the UK's first Kurdish theatre, Medes Theatre, directing its inaugural play, Lizard Evdillehê Marmarok.
